I came here on my lunch break and waited 45 minutes to get my food. There were two people working the line, someone at the register, and others in the kitchen. It took so long to get my food because everyone was ordering multiple plates for others. I got two turkey wings (it comes that way), mac, and broccoli casserole. You can tell that the food is made with love. They give you a lot of food for the price. Peach cobbler was also really good.

I absolutely love A1 Soulfood. Everytime i'm in the city? I always go and pick up my meals from there. The food tastes fantastic with that down home cooking. Now it's mostly lines before and after you order but it's so worth it. The prices are reasonable and the servers and cooks are always so pleasant and professional. It feels like family honestly . I've gone to A1 for years and i'm always more than satisfied when I go. Please eveyone...If your're looking for some fantastic soul food? Go to A1 and you'll be hooked!!!

I first tried this restaurant because my gma asked for a liver plate. OMGosh. This food is so flavorful. The customer service is 10/10. Everyone is so friendly. If you need to make a change before they fix the food completely, they do no huff and puff. Good customer service is hard to find these days, but here, they have excellent customer service. I have tried various meals and have not had a bad meal yet. I love their salisbury steak and wish they served that daily. Keep up the good work. I drive over 40 minutes to get a plate for myself and my gma. PS. Yes, the lines will be long. That is because the food is so delicious (IMO.) At first, it almost deterred me, but I decided to stick around and I was not disappointed.

Only reason i didn't give it 5 stars cause I literally waited 45 mins in line. Not because anything was held up. But everyone had the same idea a 530 pm on a Sunday evening. But it was worth the wait. Food never disappoints and the prices made me very happy. I got 2 fat dinner plates for under 25.00. Let me repeat for those in the back. I ordered Salisbury dinner and a neckbone dinner for 23.00 and change and couldn't finish 1 plate in a sitting. I will always travel for some good soul food. I dont know who auntie in the kitchen but I am always thankful and willing to wait for good food and great prices. I hope they stay the same. Still picking my fingers

Very good soul food vegetables are seasoned to perfection. My favorite is Pig feet but they have many meat items to choose from.

There were a lot of customers in line. The wait was about 35 min. The food was well seasoned and delicious. It was worth the wait. I do not know what could be done to control the volume of customers. The food tastes good and the people keep coming knowing that there is a wait. I noted that a lot of time is spent on people trying to decide what they want to eat after seeing the choices. Maybe.someone could take.the orders.prior to going through the service line?

I just tried them for the first time today. I just happen to stumble across them while leaving an appointment. I ordered for me and my neighbor. We tried the turkey wing dinner with rice, greens, Mac and cheese, and cornbread, with a side of catfish, and yams. When I tell you everything had flavor to it, we were quite impressed. The prices were well beyond reasonable, to a point it was just unbelievable, I mean shocked. There was a bit of wait time to get through the line, but it was definitely well worth the wait. Customer service was awesome, and I absolutely have no complaints whatsoever. I’m only 16 minutes away and the only thing I’m really upset about is not knowing about this place sooner

This place... a gem! Real soul food at it's best and incredibly kind and knowledgeable women on the line! -Fried pork chops -Salisbury steak with green beans and mac n cheese -Pig feet (love them!) -Turkey wings with green beans & mac n cheese -Salisbury steak with green beans & dressing Plus (not pictured) large lemonade & some of the absolute BEST peach cobbler this side of your Big Mama's kitchen! A religious experience and no we didn't eat it all but by tomorrow noon it will be gone The only slight minus was the lemonade. It was ok but that's all. Nothing memorable about it. There will be a line... But it moves pretty steady. Wait! It's worth it.
